leolux gisa swivel chair, fabric/leather by jane worthington
Picture a puzzle of multifaceted and multifunctional pieces, versatile elements with stringent form and imaginative functionality that turn and adapt to create comfortable niches. This signature offering is Leolux's fresh approach to contemporary furniture design, an urge for innovation characterised by distinctive shapes and a strong feel for colour. Jan Armgardt, Gabriele Assmann, Braun & Maniatis, Axel Enthoven, Cuno Frommherz and Stefan Heiliger among others inject their creative flair, winning recognition in the Interior Innovation Award and Red Dot design award 2010.
Turn as you will, the Gisa swan is a compact lounge chair with natural grace and a neck that bends to serve as a backrest. The special curve and soft forms of the chair took shape literally in the designer’s hands rather than on the drawing board. She moulded Gisa from one piece of material, creating an organic form that can only be produced using incredible skill and the latest techniques. Fully upholstered in leather accented by matching or contrasting fine double-stitching in silver grey, beige, black or white. Leather available in a range of colours, textures and thicknesses or fabric in a choice of domani, corallo in a range of colours or striped bauhaus in black and cream.
