An extraordinarily innovative cultural era of Italian design in the 1970s gave rise to great names such as Joe Colombo, Cini Boeri, Sergio Asti and Rodolfo Bonetto that helped to establish Flexform's hallmark style. Since then, the inventive design of architect Antonio Citterio led to the creation of sofas, armchairs and modular elements - 'warm islands of comfort' - beds and complements that radically changed the concept of socialising and inhabiting a space. Contributors by designers of note include Paolo Nava, Guido Rosati, Mario Asnago, Claudio Vender and Guilio Manzoni.
