The UP seating series has been one of the most outstanding expressions of design. The exceptional visual impact of an armchair in the shape of a buxom female figure tied to a round ball-shaped footstool symbolises 'the shackles that keep women subjugated'. On a practical level, the cord that binds the armchair and footstool prevents the footstool from rolling away when in use. Non-removable covers in striped jersey fabric in beige and orange.
